This systematic review focused on identifying quantitative empirical research, providing numerical data detailing the effect of e-cigarette use on pulmonary health outcomes. The PICO model (Fineout-Overholt and Johnston, 2005) was used to identify search terms to refine and focus the searches. As e-cigarette use is prevalent worldwide, terms used to describe the product in other countries were included.
