The UKHSA has released information on the spring 2023 booster dose for eligible individuals. Off-label vaccines leaflet

Text versions of off-label vaccines leaflets for parents and health professionals are now available online from UKHSA. These documents describe the circumstances that can lead to vaccines being used ‘off-label’ and why this may be recommended. Semaglutide for managing overweight and obesity

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has published a technology appraisal recommending semaglutide as an option for weight management, including weight loss and weight maintenance, in certain circumstances. https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ta875

Lung cancer diagnosis and management

NICE has published an updated guideline on diagnosing and managing non-small-cell and small-cell lung cancer. It aims to improve outcomes for patients by ensuring that the most effective tests and treatments are used, and that people have access to suitable palliative care and follow-up. https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng122

Planning and navigating research ethical approvals

The Queen's Nursing Institute will be hosting a free 1-hour masterclass focussed on planning and navigating research ethical approvals. This masterclass is part of a series of events.
