Tools, guidance and key events for general practice nurses

The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare has collaborated with a number of organisations, including the British Menopause Society and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, to create the new standards for menopause care in line with current national and international guidelines and recommendations. The 11 standards provide a consistent approach to clinical care and, as a result, will help women access evidence-based advice to optimise their menopause transition.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has published updated clinical guidelines on the diagnosis and management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in children and young people aged under 18. The guideline recommends how to support children and young people and their families and carers to maintain tight control of blood glucose to reduce the long-term risks associated with diabetes.
