How does it work?
Learn and demonstrate your knowledge
Practice Nursing CPD Gateway offers a variety of learning units in core areas. Each unit will take 1-2 hours' study time. On completion of each unit, you can download a certificate of your learning activity and results. Certificates can be printed out to include in your PREP portfolio as evidence of your learning activity.
You can choose units from any module in any order, and save your work at any time so that you can return to complete it when convenient.
Five steps to learning and assessment
- Download and read the article on each topic written and peer reviewed by experts in practice nurse education
- Answer the 10 multiple choice questions
- Write reflective answers to 2 case scenarios
- Save your answers, finish the unit, and review your results
- Download your certificate of completion and print it out to include in your PREP portfolio
Recording
Your results and a record of available, started and completed units appear on your personal CPD Gateway Dashboard.
You will be scored out of 100 for the multiple choice questions and you can compare your answers with the correct ones. You can also download the unit author's suggestions for reflection on the 2 case scenarios.
Remember to print your certificate on completing each unit to put in your PREP portfolio as evidence of your learning activity.
